3. Install windows XP in Acer Aspire 4740/4740G: You need to change the BIOS setting. To do that upon start press F2 repeatedly. In the BIOS look for Sata mode; Switch AHCI mode to IDE mode. If you need guide to create a custom XP installation CD you can read it here.
